OPEN-WORLD POI
Worked on one open-world point of interest from concept design through implementation.

Level-design work from concept through implementation for an in-development AAA open-world RPG.

During my level-design internship at Tencent Games, I worked on an in-development AAA open-world RPG.
I designed an open-world point-of-interest activity and a dungeon, and drove both from concept to implementation through prototyping and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Worked on one open-world point of interest from concept design through implementation.
Designed a dungeon and drove it from concept through implementation.
I completed two early dungeon research studies and one gameplay study to inform later design. AI supported research and the creation of images and effect-video references.
The work fed into design proposals, implementation requirements and asset lists for blockout development and collaboration.
My core contribution was designing one open-world POI activity and one dungeon, then driving both from concept to implementation. Work covered proposals, requirement breakdowns, asset lists, blockouts and refinement.
Early mood lighting helped communicate the scene direction and connect the blockout to later level-art and gameplay work.
I assigned outsourcing tasks and joined three-party meetings. I coordinated with level art, technical art, programming, VFX and PM to deliver the gameplay.
Design and asset requirements were translated into production tasks across the blockout and implementation stages.
I placed world content and gameplay and fixed placement and level-related bugs.
Agents supported bulk JSON configuration edits, while Perforce kept the project in sync. AI images and effect videos also supported research and design communication.
